Check out the highlights from the Rotational Grazing and Cover Crop Integration Field Day at Lost Savanna Farm on Vancouver Island! Farmers had the chance to hear from the guest speakers, tour Lost Savanna Farm, see a variety of cover crops and livestock and learn about the farms cover cropping and rotational grazing program.
Lost Savanna Farm is a 73 acre farm in the Comox Valley with a focus on organic regenerative practices to produce nutrient dense food. They currently raise 100% grass fed beef, pasture/forest raised hogs and pasture raised broilers.
This field day was organized by FarmFolk CityFolk and the Small-Scale Meat Producers Association.
